The 'Eden' Company continues to engage with the northern central business district (CBD) which mainly serves the Ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) community.
The northern CBD is an area rich in commerce, residential and national educational institutions which together represent an active, vibrant urban space. In the absence of alternative urban spaces, the ‘Eden’ Company has actively promoted the upgrading of the streets of the northern CBD over the past few years. Upgrading the streets is intended to reduce traffic and congestion in the area by creating an efficient public transportation service and encouraging pedestrian traffic, with minimal use of private vehicles in the area.
Among the upgraded streets are Kerem Avraham Street, Zichron Moshe Street, Mekor Baruch (currently being upgraded), and Meah Shearim (currently being upgraded).
